I am a Network Engineer for a large WAN provider in the UK. I have extensive experience working on routers and firewalls such as Fortigate, Cisco, Juniper on a daily basis. A few years ago I got introduced to Linux and I have spent some frustrating hours behind the screen trying to get one or another application to work. There is nothing more gratifying than getting an application to work on Linux. I try and keep the guides straight to the point and easy to understand for the main purpose of reaching the main objective of getting something to work as oppose to regurgitating a networking or Linux textbook.
